patchwork of life

So as my life is getting busier with our cafe centre, I have now undertaken more crafting projects.....but then when I see it taking shape I say, oh well.........

I have been learning about God's provision and greatness....about our place beside Him and how we are over comers.

I look at this cushion cover that I'm making for our prayer room and as I see the different squares and different fabric, I think about what a differing world we live in, with different cultures and lives....but yet  we are made to live side by side!

I'm glad I am living side by side with people who's first language isn't English and learning from them, how to be a better person and sharing what I know about life...I thank God for this opportunity!

February was such a long time ago and since my last post a lot has happened in my world of craft and creativity........

I have started a couple of projects and completed one or two others. I have some challenges to complete the projects I've started but I have learnt that with God all things are possible.

We currently live in Kosova and we are volunteers. We have a new project/ministry and we are running a cafe centre that we set up, that has a craft floor and prayer space.

Our cafe centre is now open and for 2 months before its opening we had been working on the painting of the building among other things. We have a beach theme and I loved the stripes on deck chairs. I decided to create a fresh look and painted the stripes on the cafe floor.

I never knew it would take as long as it did but I love the end results. What do you think??

Another craft I did was some hearts. My friend Debbie showed me this very quick and easy sewing project. I made these and also two for a couple who had twins. I put and L & D on them for the names of their children.

I have enjoyed these few crafty things and its spurring me on to complete the crotch knee blanket, knitted cushion covers and my big sewing patchwork project that will be the covers for our cushions for our blanket boxes in the prayer space in the cafe......

I have learnt new crafty skills and never thought I'd actually make anything!!

Wow.... I have never seen such beauty as now, when it comes to snow. Kosova is covered in a blanket of white fluffiness, deep snow, creating wonderful winter wonderland scenes.

Facts about snowflakes.......'snowflakes start as ice crystals that are the size of a speck of dust. When the crystals fall they join up with other crystals to form a snowflakes.....snowflakes usually have 6 sides.' thinkquest.org

Everyday, since the snow has been falling, it makes me marvel at God creation. Hundreds and thousands of tiny specks falling together to make one giant blanket covering this land.

God's hand, so might, is yet still so tender to handle and create such delicate finery. I'm so glad that His hand cares for such detail...sometimes our lives may seem small but we have a great big God holding us and creating life in us and through us!!
